Thanks for Making our January 19th Charette a Huge Success!
The Orem Bicycle and Pedestrian Study Charette held on January 19th was a resounding success with over 100 community members in attendance. Participants were given 'clickers' that allowed constant feedback about different types of bicycle and pedestrian facilities during our presentation. There was also a very busy mapping excercise where participants were able to provide feedback on the existing pedestrian and bicycle facilities in Orem, including good facilities and trouble spots.

All of this feedback will now be incorporated into our own analysis and we will hold a second public workshop presenting our draft recommendations for feedback and comment sometime this Summer. Stay tuned to www.walkbikeorem.com for details of upcoming events.
Thanks for making a big impact on this study!

Show us which routes are most important to you!
It's quick, it's fun, and it's a great way for us to learn more about what's working and what needs improvement. It's also a great way for you to see which other Orem cyclists are using. To ensure that we see your contribution please follow these instructions carefully:
- Click the link to visit www.bikely.com a terrific tool to create and share bicycle routes.
- Register with the site - it's quick and easy. Just click the 'Sign In / Join' button at the top.
- Once registered, have a look around and see how others have created routes. To contribute your own route, click the 'Create Route' button at the top and follow the instructions on the site. Draw in your route and be sure to include descriptions about what can be improved. PLEASE, only provide non-recreational routes so that we may better understand where transportation related travel is currently occuring in Orem.
- When you save the route, please make sure you give it a title that begins with "OremBPS". For example if you want to call your route the '800 S route', it should be saved as "OremBPS-800 S route". Doing this will help us find it and include it in our analysis.
- To be sure we can search your route, please select the 'describe' tab and select the bubble that makes your route 'public / visible to all'.
- To see what other people have entered, go to the 'Find' tab and type OremBPS into the search window and click 'Go'.
